Baseball Recap: Morrison Comes Up Short

Morrison managed to slip by Galena the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mustangs came up short against the Pirates on Monday, falling 14-2. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Mustangs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Morrison saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamden White, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases.

Morrison's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Galena, their record is now 8-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morrison will venture away from home to challenge Amboy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs are facing the Clippers at the right time seeing as the Clippers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Galena, they will take on Fulton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Steamers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight.
