Soccer Recap: Nimitz Takes a Loss

Nimitz was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Benjamin Davis Falcons. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Nimitz's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-2. As for Benjamin Davis, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-1-2 and their overall record up to 3-5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Nimitz take on the Spring at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th. As for Benjamin Davis, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Aldine at 7:30 p.m. Benjamin Davis' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
