Lake Mills waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Madison West Regents. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the L-Cats have posted since September 9th.

Lyndsey Bender paced Lake Mills' offense, picking up seven kills. Bender got some help from Debra Bruce and her 14 assists. Bruce also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sophie Hooper, each putting up four.

Lake Mills' win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Madison West, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-22.

Lake Mills has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against DeForest on the 27th. As for Madison West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Arcadia on the 27th.
