Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lakin). They blew past the Elkhart Wildcats 16-1 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Broncs in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won seven in a row.
Moriah Ortiz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). That hit was her first of the season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.
