Volleyball Recap: Davis' Win Ends Nine-Game Losing Streak at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Woods Cross, Davis was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Ogden Tigers with a sharp 3-0 victory. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Darts yet this season.

Davis never let Ogden on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 27-25, 25-18.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Davis to victory, but perhaps none more so than Claire Shupe, who had 12 assists and eight digs. That's the most digs Shupe has posted over her last six contests. Another player making a difference was Kate Donigan, who had four digs and three aces.

Davis' win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4. As for Ogden, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davis will challenge Mountain Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Sentinels have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Ogden, they are taking a road trip to square off against Granger at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
