Baseball Game Preview: Alisal Trojans vs. Pacific Grove Breakers

For the second straight game, Alisal will face off against Pacific Grove. The Trojans will host the Breakers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Alisal's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Pacific Grove's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Alisal and Pacific Grove meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Trojans came out on top in a nail-biter against the Breakers, sneaking past 3-1.

For Pacific Grove's part, they got a good showing from Rowen Meyer, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The Breakers are 2-1 when Meyer allows one or fewer hits, but 4-8 otherwise.

Pacific Grove's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Alisal, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.
