Volleyball Recap: Spring Hill Broncos vs. Lansing Lions
After flying high against Turner on Monday, Spring Hill came back down to earth. The Broncos took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lansing Lions on Saturday. The Broncos have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
While Spring Hill ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17.
Kaliyah Phifer paced Spring Hill's offense, picking up four kills. Phifer got some help from Macie Metcalf and her six assists. Elina Douglas controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Spring Hill's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Lansing, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.
