Softball Recap: Grafton Takes a Loss

Grafton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Warhill Lions, falling 7-1. The Clippers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Grafton's record now sits at 2-5. As for Warhill, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Grafton is set to square off against their familiar foe York at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Warhill will challenge rival New Kent at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 2.9, the Trojans 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
