Rock Port won the last time they faced Hamburg and things went their way on Friday too. The Rock Port Blue Jays claimed a resounding 72-27 victory over the Hamburg Wildcats. The Blue Jays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Rock Port got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brock Holmes out in front who went 7 for 11 en route to 16 points and five steals. The dominant performance gave Holmes a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Meyerkorth, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points.

Rock Port smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive games.

Rock Port pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Hamburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-13.

Rock Port will take on Platte Valley co-op [South Nodaway/Jefferson] at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rock Port is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.8 points per game this season. As for Hamburg, they will challenge Whiting on Monday. Hamburg is facing Whiting at the right time seeing as Whiting is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
