Kaleb Willoughby Delivers Best Effort of Season

On Friday, Byers got the W thanks in part to Kaleb Willoughby playing the best football he has all season. Willoughby rushed for 266 yards and three touchdowns. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August of 2023. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble and made 13 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

The victory for Byers keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Willoughby will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Elbert on Saturday.

Simla had to settle for second on Friday, but Tj Eurich sure wasn't going down easily. Eurich was dynamite, rushing for 125 yards and two touchdowns. He has become a key player for Simla: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

On the year, Eurich has averaged 44.5 receiving yards per game.

Trechter Came Up Big in St. Mary's 24-20 Win

St. Mary found a leader in Michael Trechter as the squad took down Calhan on Friday. Trechter did his part (and then some), throwing for 196 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 80 yards for the 'W'.

For the year, Trechter has thrown 10 touchdowns (and and only 2 pick) while averaging 183.4 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he had six passing touchdowns.

Lance Mathews Makes It Two for St. Mary's

Another St. Mary's player making an appearance on this list is Lance Mathews. He picked up 102 receiving yards.
