Football Recap: Barnsdall Piles Up the Points Against Afton + How To Watch

A well-balanced attack led Barnsdall over Afton in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Panthers blew the Eagles out of the water with a 40-6 final score. Considering the Panthers have won three matchups by more than 27 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Lincoln Gott had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 160 yards and two TDs while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 160 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Barnsdall was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 263 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 243 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Barnsdall didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jacob Clark and Tripp Barbee.

Barnsdall's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Afton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Barnsdall will be playing at home against Hominy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bucks will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Afton, they will head out to challenge Porter at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. The Eagles are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
