Football Recap: Jacob Clark and Tripp Barbee Lead the Defense for Barnsdall Win + How To Watch

Barnsdall won the last time they faced Afton and Lincoln Gott did his part to make sure it happened again. The Panthers really took it to the Eagles for the full four quarters, racking up a 40-6 victory for which the team can thank Gott, who rushed for 160 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Barnsdall is 4-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Barnsdall didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jacob Clark and Tripp Barbee. Barnsdall got some further help from Talon Bond: he forced one fumble and made seven total tackles (4.0 for loss).

The win made it two in a row for Barnsdall and bumps their season record up to 5-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 21 points in those games. As for Afton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Barnsdall didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 38-14 loss against Hominy on the 30th. As for Afton, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Porter on the 31st.
