Baseball Recap: Walled Lake Western Comes Up Short

After flying high against Avondale on Friday, Walled Lake Western came back down to earth. The Warriors took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Milford Mavericks on Tuesday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mavericks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Walled Lake Western saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Saks, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Walled Lake Western's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15-2. As for Milford, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-25.

While Walled Lake Western had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
