It was a Battle of the Birds when UME Preparatory Academy faced off against International Leadership of Texas Lancaster-DeSoto on Wednesday. The UME Preparatory Academy EAGLES blew past the International Leadership of Texas Lancaster-DeSoto Eagles 54-32. The EAGLES have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for TJ Maye, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 16 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. That's the most assists he has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Will Lupton, who posted ten points and three blocks.

UME Preparatory Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

UME Preparatory Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for International Leadership of Texas Lancaster-DeSoto, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
