Volleyball Recap: Olivia Yohe Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat St. Anthony Village

Houston posted their closest victory since September 14, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the St. Anthony Village Huskies 2-1. This was payback for the Hurricanes, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Houston to victory, but perhaps none more so than Olivia Yohe, who had 13 assists and five digs. That's the most assists Yohe has posted over her last six games. Emmie Melbo was another key player, getting seven kills and five digs.

The win made it two in a row for Houston and bumps their season record up to 5-9. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-6 St. Anthony Village and 1-6 Kingsland. As for St. Anthony Village, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Houston didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Kingsland on the 13th. As for St. Anthony Village, they will host DeLaSalle at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
