Plattsburgh skates past Crown Point with ease

The Plattsburgh Hornets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They blew past Crown Point 84-51 at home. Plattsburgh has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 25 points or more this season.

Crown Point's loss came despite strong showings from Reese Pertak and Trevor Harris. Pertak scored 25 points along with five assists and three steals, while Harris dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 35.3% of Crown Point's points, marking the tenth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Matt Beeman was another key contributor, scoring two points along with six rebounds and six blocks.

Plattsburgh's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Crown Point, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.

Plattsburgh will head out on the road to square off against Saranac at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Saranac is coming into the matchup with three straight victories at home, so Plattsburgh is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Crown Point, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-53 defeat vs. Boquet Valley on the 12th.
