            Basketball Recap: Utah School for the Deaf & Blind Eagles vs. Washington School for the Deaf Terriers        
        
		
        
        
            Utah School for the Deaf & Blind was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their 19th straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They took a  blow against the Washington School for the Deaf Terriers, falling  47-17. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Eagles came into the  match with a sizable advantage  in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states  (they are ranked 143rd in Utah, while the Terriers are ranked 365th in Washington).
 Washington School for the Deaf's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Omar Barragan-Lopez, who  dropped  a double-double on 14  points and 20  rebounds. The dominant performance gave  Barragan-Lopez a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was  Nathan Yerkes, who  posted 14  points along with five  boards and four  steals.
Utah School for the Deaf & Blind's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Washington School for the Deaf, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a massive bump to their 7-12 record  this season.
