Recap: Timberlake Christian Tornadoes vs. Chatham Hall Turtles
The Timberlake Christian Tornadoes lost to the Chatham Hall Turtles back in January, but the Timberlake Christian Tornadoes didn't allow the Chatham Hall Turtles the same satisfaction on Monday. Timberlake Christian put the hurt on Chatham Hall with a sharp 36-16 win.
Among those leading the charge was Emma Luther, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Timberlake Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Caelyn Davis, who scored 6 points along with 9 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Chatham Hall still got an impressive performance from Priscella Bennsion, who scored 8 points. Bennsion scored a full 50% of Chatham Hall's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Hana Vogtman was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Timberlake Christian's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Chatham Hall, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Timberlake Christian's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Temple Christian at 5:30 p.m. on December 11th. Chatham Hall will take on Carter G. Woodson at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
