Mount Olive was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Taylorsville Tartars 51-7. The match marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Among those leading the charge was Aliana Johnson, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Antiana Newell, who put up ten points.

Mount Olive's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Taylorsville, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-12.

Mount Olive has already played their next game (against Piney Woods), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Taylorsville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 46-6 victory against Stringer on the 25th.
