Softball Game Preview: Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks vs. West Side Eagles

The Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks will head out to challenge the West Side Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mt. Vernon-Enola saw some tournament action last Friday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over Hope. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warhawks.

Meanwhile, West Side hadn't done well against Pangburn recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way last Thursday. West Side was the clear victor by a 15-3 margin over Pangburn. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Mt. Vernon-Enola picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-7. As for West Side, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Mt. Vernon-Enola came up short against West Side in their previous matchup back in May of 2022, falling 7-4. Can Mt. Vernon-Enola avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
