Baseball Recap: Charles City Comes Up Short

Charles City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Decorah-North Winneshiek Vikings, falling 12-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, with their most recent loss being a 15-0 defeat back in June.

Charles City's loss dropped their record down to 1-22. As for Decorah-North Winneshiek, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 20-5.

Coming up, Charles City will venture away from home to face off against Nashua-Plainfield at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Decorah-North Winneshiek, they will challenge Waverly-Shell Rock at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
