Wilcox-Hildreth beats Garden County for their fifth straight win

Recap: Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons vs. Garden County Eagles

The Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They took down Garden County 39-21. Wilcox-Hildreth pushed the score to 39-13 by the end of the third, a deficit Garden County cut but never quite recovered from.

Wilcox-Hildreth was led to victory by Graiden Ritner and Gaige Ritner. Ritner rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry, while Ritner rushed for 221 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.8 yards per carry. Ritner was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kole Fornander, who picked up 113 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyan Kramer, who gained 125 total yards.

Wilcox-Hildreth's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Garden County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Wilcox-Hildreth is on the road again on Friday and play against Pawnee City at 6:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Pawnee City will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. Garden County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
