Volleyball Recap: Wayne Trace's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Wayne Trace waltzed into their matchup on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Allen East Mustangs 3-0. The Raiders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Wayne Trace never let Allen East on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-11, 25-23.

Lexi Moore paced Wayne Trace's offense, picking up 15 kills. Moore got some help from Olivia Zartman and her 21 assists. Zartman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

The victory got Wayne Trace back to even at 8-8. As for Allen East, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Wayne Trace will venture away from home to face off against Tinora at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Allen East, they will host Lima Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
