Baseball Recap: South Eugene Comes Up Short

South Eugene lost against Grants Pass on April 5th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Axe fell 8-5 to the Cavemen.

Gavin Bush made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Brendan Van Ryzin, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

South Eugene's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Grants Pass, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

Coincidentally, South Eugene and Grants Pass will both be playing Willamette the next time they take the field. The Axe will host the Wolverines at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Cavemen will host them at 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
