Baseball Recap: Lee-Scott Academy Find Success

Lee-Scott Academy's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They blew past the Pike Road Patriots 9-2.

Brayden Butler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on eight hits.

At the plate, Lee-Scott Academy got a massive performance out of Sam Jackson, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Jackson has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Allen Owen, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Lee-Scott Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Pike Road, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Lee-Scott Academy will welcome Enterprise at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pike Road, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Elmore County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
