Platteview won the last time they faced Douglas County West, and Brooklyn Stehlik did her part to make sure it happened again. The Platteview Trojans walked away with a 50-41 victory over the Douglas County West Falcon on Friday thanks to Stehlik, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 17 rebounds. Those 17 boards gave her a new career-high.

Several Falcon players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ella Wiese, who went 6-for-12 on her way to 16 points. Wiese continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Strong, who posted 13 points and eight rebounds.

Platteview's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Douglas County West, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.

Looking ahead, Platteview will host Crete at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Douglas County West, they will square off against Syracuse at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
