Baseball Recap: Caldwell Academy Comes Up Short

Caldwell Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Providence Day Chargers. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly ten runs.

Neal Swindell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.

Caldwell Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Providence Day, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-10.

Coming up, Caldwell Academy will take on Independence in a tournament on Tuesday. As for Providence Day, they will challenge Cox Mill at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence Day is facing Cox Mill at the right time seeing as Cox Mill is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
