Honaker has gone 9-1 against Grundy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Golden Wave at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Honaker put up the most runs they have all season on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Holston a 25-0 shutout. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Grundy let Phelps stack six runs on them in the fifth inning on Tuesday but luckily Grundy prevailed anyway. The Golden Wave had just enough and edged out the Hornets 12-11.

Talan Hall made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 4.1 innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Brady Deel was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Ayden Whited was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Grundy's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.6 runs over those games. As for Honaker, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Everything went Honaker's way against Grundy in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, as Honaker made off with a 13-0 victory. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Wave turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
