Basketball Recap: Moss Point Find Success

Moss Point won against Presbyterian Christian on Monday with 40 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Tigers secured a 40-35 W over the St. Martin Yellow Jackets. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Yellow Jackets on November 4th, they had to take a 44-29 loss.

Moss Point found their leader in freshman Trinity Magee, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Magee has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kirsten Bailey, who posted nine points.

The win made it two in a row for Moss Point and bumps their season record up to 2-5. As for St. Martin, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Moss Point wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 37-19 loss against Kemper County on the 29th. As for St. Martin, they will welcome Hancock at 6:00 p.m. on the 4th.
