Recap: Meridian Mustangs vs. Nebraska Lutheran Knights
The Meridian Mustangs kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 57-33 walloping at the hands of Nebraska Lutheran. Meridian has not had much luck with Nebraska Lutheran recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Lukas Worster was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 13 points along with 7 steals. Luke Otte was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 6 steals.
Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Nebraska Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meridian will take on Cross County at TBD on Friday. As for Nebraska Lutheran, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Edward on Tuesday.
