After a string of 11 wins, Bellflower's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 59-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warren Bears. The Buccaneers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bears earlier this season, when they won 47-43.

Warren's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from King Johnson, who went 8 of 18 en route to 19 points and six rebounds. Johnson's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jay'Mari Redmond, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 13 points and three steals.

Bellflower's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 17-8. As for Warren, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season.
