Volleyball Recap: Port Edwards Comes Up Short

Port Edwards lost against Manawa back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Blackhawks lost 3-0 to the Wolves. The Blackhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Despite the loss, Port Edwards saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Hayden Kleifgen had eight digs and three aces. Kleifgen has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last six times she's played.

Port Edwards' defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Manawa, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 15-16.

Port Edwards has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Northland Lutheran on the 21st. As for Manawa, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Crandon on the 21st.
