Baseball Recap: Middletown Comes Up Short

Middletown was the 8-1 winner over Enfield when they last played one another back in May of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Dragons came up short against the Eagles on Monday, falling 9-1. The Blue Dragons' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Middletown saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bobby Civitillo, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Middletown's record now sits at 2-12. As for Enfield, they moved to 3-5 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Middletown will take on Cromwell at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Enfield, they will square off against RHAM at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
