Volleyball Game Preview: Miami East Vikings vs. Troy Trojans

The Miami East Vikings will face off against the Troy Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Miami East will be looking to extend their current 14-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Miami East got the win against Milton-Union by a conclusive 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Miami East was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-8.

Miami East can attribute much of their success to Jersey Cutlip, who had five digs and four aces, and Kylee Bowsher, who had seven digs and six assists. That's the most aces Cutlip has posted over her last seven contests.

They weren't the only good servers: Miami East was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Troy made easy work of Xenia on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Troy's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Miami East, their win bumped their record up to 14-2.
