Basketball Game Preview: Unity Christian Academy Phoenix vs. Universal Stars

Two dominant guards in Donovan O'Neil Jr and Abdullah Elzebak are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Unity Christian Academy Phoenix are taking a road trip to square off against the Universal Stars at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Unity Christian Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Universal will be coming in after a loss.

Last Monday, Unity Christian Academy took their contest with ease, bagging a 64-26 win over MCC. The Phoenix have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Universal played against South Shore International and lost via forfeit.

Universal is on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11. As for Unity Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.

Everything came up roses for Unity Christian Academy against Universal when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 73-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Unity Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
