Football Preview: East Surry Cardinals vs. West Stokes Wildcats
The East Surry Cardinals will venture away from home to face off against the West Stokes Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Despite their defeat, West Stokes saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Lindann Fleming, who rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 41 receiving yards, was perhaps the best of all. West Stokes also got a significant boost from Aydden Cherry, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 88 yards.
West Stokes' defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Mikah Webster and Jonah McCoy. Everything went East Surry's way against West Stokes when the teams last played back in September of 2023 as East Surry made off with a 20-0 victory.
