Lowell is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Andrean is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Red Devils will host the Fighting 59ers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Friday, everything came up roses for Lowell against Munster as the squad secured a 49-14 win. Given the Red Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Mustangs are ranked 196th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

A big part of Lowell's victory came down to the chemistry between Gavin Gutierrez and his top target Brody Kalwinski. Gutierrez picked up 123 receiving yards and a pair of TDs while Kalwinski threw for 158 yards and two touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Kalwinski a new career-high in passer rating (165.2).
Lowell was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 333 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 151 rushing yards in seven consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Andrean never let their opponents score on Friday. They put the hurt on Hanover Central with a sharp 21-0 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Fighting 59ers just coasted through the last quarter.
A big part of Andrean's victory came down to the chemistry between Dylan Gore and his top target Tyler Vo. Gore threw for 89 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight passes while Vo picked up 73 receiving yards and two scores.

Lowell's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Andrean, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 7-1.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Lowell has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 230.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Andrean struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 179.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Lowell couldn't quite get it done against Andrean in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 27-14. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Fighting 59ers' Brady Elish, who threw for 124 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in one rushing score. Now that the Red Devils know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
