Basketball Recap: North Central Takes a Loss

North Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-50 heartbreaker at the hands of the McLaughlin Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Thunder of the 50-31 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

North Central's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for McLaughlin, their victory bumped their record up to 5-12.

Coincidentally, North Central and McLaughlin will both be playing Wakpala the next time they take the court. North Central will host Wakpala at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, while McLaughlin will host them at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
