Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson lost against Chapin back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Silver Foxes came up short against the Huskies, falling 3-0. The Silver Foxes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Jefferson took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-21, 25-22.

Genevieve Padilla paced Jefferson's offense, picking up eight kills. Padilla got some help from Jayme Rojas and her 26 assists.

Chapin was led to victory by Gianna Dominguez and Adrienne Rodriguez. Dominguez had 19 digs and two assists, while Rodriguez had four digs and three aces. Dominguez has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 11 times she's played.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Chapin, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Jefferson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against El Paso on the 23rd. As for Chapin, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Canutillo on the 23rd.
