Volleyball Recap: Governor Livingston Takes a Loss

Governor Livingston and Holmdel squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Governor Livingston had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 3-2. The Highlanders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Governor Livingston took Holmdel into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-13, 25-22, 23-25, 16-14.

Governor Livingston's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Holmdel, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-1.

Governor Livingston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Holmdel, they will head out to square off against Pinelands Regional at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
