Basketball Game Preview: Hoke County Bucks vs. Seventy-First Falcons + Official Tickets

Hoke County hasn't had much luck against Seventy-First recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bucks will be playing at home against the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Last Tuesday, Hoke County was able to grind out a solid win over St. Pauls, taking the game 56-47. That's two games straight that the Bucks have won by exactly nine points.

Karmen Campbell was a one-woman wrecking crew as she dropped a double-double with 25 points and ten rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 11 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayana Jones, who posted nine points in addition to five assists and five steals.

Hoke County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seventy-First). They blew past New Hanover, posting a 63-35 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Hoke County's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Seventy-First, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Hoke County took a serious blow against Seventy-First in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 56-26. Can the Bucks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
