North Eugene had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the three-goal drubbing they dealt Crater on Saturday. The Highlanders' defense stepped up to hand the Comets a 3-0 shutout. North Eugene might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by three goals or more this season.

North Eugene's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Crater, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Eugene will host Thurston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Thurston will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something North Eugene surely won't give up without a fight. As for Crater, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Churchill at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
