It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Marathon had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Tomahawk Hatchets as they made off with a 3-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Red Raiders: when they faced off against the Hatchets back in September, they had to take a 2-1 loss.
Marathon never let Tomahawk on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 25-22.
Emma Love paced Marathon's offense, picking up 13 kills. Love got some help from Mayven Schneider and her 20 assists.
Marathon is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-13 record this season. As for Tomahawk, they dropped their record down to 14-18 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
