Volleyball Recap: Antwerp Takes a Loss

Antwerp lost against Hicksville back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Archers fell just short of the Aces by a score of 3-2.

Antwerp took Hicksville into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking nine-point loss. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-22, 20-25, 23-25, 15-6.

Leading Hicksville to victory were Hannah Ridgway and Tori Wells. Ridgway had 24 digs and two assists, while Wells had 20 digs and two aces. Those two aces gave Wells a new career-high.

Antwerp's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Hicksville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Coming up, Antwerp will head out to challenge North Central at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hicksville, they will challenge Patrick Henry at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Aces surely won't give up without a fight.
