Baseball Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

Marshall suffered their closest defeat since May 6, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Mankato West Scarlets by a score of 5-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 7-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2023.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Mankato West, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

Marshall wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-2 win against Fairmont on the 17th. As for Mankato West, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-0 victory against Austin on the 17th.
