Basketball Recap: Langford Comes Up Short

Langford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Britton-Hecla Braves. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Braves from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Langford's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Britton-Hecla, their victory bumped their record up to 4-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Langford and Wilmot will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Wilmot knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Langford likes a good challenge. As for Britton-Hecla, they will face off against Clark/Willow Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
