Volleyball Game Preview: Clovis East Timberwolves vs. Buchanan Bears

The Clovis East Timberwolves will challenge the Buchanan Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Clovis East is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Clovis North.

Clovis East was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 22-25, 22-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Buchanan entered their tilt with Clovis on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Cougars. The game was the first time the Bears have beaten the Cougars on their court since April 12, 2022.

Buchanan walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-20, 19-25, 25-13, 25-22.

Buchanan pushed their record up to 27-15 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Clovis East, their victory bumped their record up to 24-11.

Clovis East suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Buchanan in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Timberwolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
