Big Game from Gann As Stockdale Won 28-21

Starting off the list is Stockdale's Coy Gann, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Gann rushed for 202 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

Stockdale's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4. Gann and Stockdale will be playing in front of their home fans against Natalia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Poth Wins Eighth-Straight Thanks to Kane Stover

Poth picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Kane Stover. Stover wasn't messing around, rushing for 97 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, while also throwing for 167 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 passes. The game was his third straight with two or more rushing touchdowns.

Poth pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Stover and Poth will face off against Young Men's Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Max Marroquin Delivers Best Effort of Season

Max Marroquin produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Stockdale to the win on Friday. Marroquin rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

On the season, Marroquin has run in 4 touchdowns while averaging 30.7 rushing yards per game.

Syrhian Alaniz Has Career-Day on Friday

Sadly, Syrhian Alaniz posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Karnes City over Stockdale on Friday. Alaniz rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also caught a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

On the season, Alaniz has run in 4 touchdowns while averaging 31.8 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 6.25 rushing yards per game.

Nick Neudorfer and Co. Win Eighth in a Row

Nick Neudorfer was instrumental in extending Poth's winning streak to eight on Friday. Natalia had no answer to Neudorfer as he made three total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended two passes.
