Kingman Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They snuck past the Wickenburg Wranglers with a 45-39 victory. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 51-30 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Kingman Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Wickenburg, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4.

After both having extra time off, Kingman Academy and Highland Prep West will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Wickenburg, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Agua Fria at 3:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Agua Fria has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
