Volleyball Recap: Arbor View's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was fun while it lasted, but Arbor View's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Valencia Vikings. The game marked the first time this season in which the Aggies were not able to get on the board.

Arbor View was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17.

Graham Blanchard paced Arbor View's offense, picking up five kills. Blanchard got some help from Brady Hashimoto and his ten assists. Luke Hashimoto and Risden Miller kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Having lost for the first time this season, Arbor View fell to 4-1. As for Valencia, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

Arbor View has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Sage Creek on the 1st. As for Valencia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against ALA - Gilbert North on the 1st.
